Jakarta (Cubing Method)

This is a kind of writing that we had to make today.  Shane just wanted to introduce us how to write a topic by using cubing method.  So, here is the result of mine.  I tried to describe the topic in a letter for my friend.  Let's read!

Dear Wahyu,

Hi, how are you? Hopefully you are well.  Let me tell you about everything I have felt since the first time I came to Jakarta 2 months ago.
Perhaps everybody will say that I am a fool being not comfortable live in Jakarta.  But that is true.  I have to fight here.  You wanna know why? First, it's hard to find fresh air to breath to breath out of the building.  All that come to my lungs is just smoke of cars, buses, motorcycles, and bajai.  Second, I have to prepare coins everywhere I go because there will be many unlucky people who show their suffered faces and hope money from my pocket.  Then? Okay...I give some to them.  Third, I cannot see many trees and flowers which grow by themselves, or birds flying at the blue sky but skycrapers, vehicles, and tired people.  So, could you please tell me what kind of beauty I can enjoy here?

  1. This is very well written. Remember that when you're writing in tests and in class - you can do it beautifully. I like the mix of short and long sentences.
Have you sent this to your friend? What's the reply?
Think about replacing the word "fight" with something more suitable - I guess you want a strong image, but that word seems out of place here.

Sampai Jumpa, Angga

Rambutnya basah. Jelas ia sedang tidak begitu sehat. Pun begitu, setiap kata, senyum, dan deraian tawanya tetap menyegarkan. Kami saling memohon maaf. Ia berbicara sambil merangkul maminya.  "Uni, maafkan Angga lahir batin ya, Ni. Insyaallah kita nanti ketemu di Jambi,"ucapnya sembari melambaikan tangan gempalnya.  "Iya.

The Women with Beatific Smiles

My world was filled with thousand of rainbows' colors when I saw those beatific smiles that night. I learn much from these women.
